Senior Engineer - Cloud

Role's mission is to Participate in the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure and services with specific focus on multi cloud network architectures.  Core scope includes Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  Accountable for effective planning, organizing, and maintaining overall landscape to ensure the stable management of the organization’s cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of cloud network technologies, strong problem-solving skills and structured approach to activities aligned to the defined operating model.

Role Responsibilities

•    Design and implement cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and GCP (VNets, VPCs, and VPC Networks)
•    Collaborate with architects and developers to deploy and manage cloud-based applications and services.
•    Define system requirements in alignment with application architects and owners
•    Implement automation of cloud infrastructure deployment and management using DevOps tools including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).
•    Provide L3 escalation for daily operations of cloud network infrastructure, to ensure security and stability.
•    Drive the implementation of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
•    Configure and manage DNS and name resolution services
•    Implement network peering, transit connectivity, and hybrid networking
•    Deploy and manage VPN gateways, virtual network gateways, and cloud WAN solutions
•    Design and implement dedicated private connectivity (Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect)
•    Configure and manage load balancing and global traffic distribution
•    Deploy application delivery controllers and web application gateways
•    Implement global application access and edge networking (Azure Front Door, Cloud CDN/Load Balancing)
•    Configure DDoS protection and network security controls
•    Deploy and manage cloud-native firewalls and firewall policy management
•    Secure network connectivity using private endpoints, Private Link, service endpoints, and private service connect
•    Implement network segmentation, routing, and access control policies
•    Support hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity architectures with centralized governance and observability
•    Collaborate in the development of documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
•    Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in cloud technologies and services.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud-related projects and initiatives.
•    Responsible for monitoring the consumption of cloud resources, request fulfillment turnaround, application performance, and systems security posture.
•    Execute cloud FinOps and cost management.
Team relationship

•    Vendor Management – Ability to work with managed infrastructure teams on shore – offshore support teams.
•    Involved activities with other Support Leads, Support Partner, Third Parties, other IT Infrastructure Groups, and security groups.

Qualifications

•    Education - Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 
•    Certifications – MS Azure Administrator Associate/GCP Cloud Engineer is a plus
•    Level of Experience: 7 years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably in consulting and integration companies
