Job Description

Job Purpose/Overview 

A major Digital & Business Transformation initiative involving replacing existing ERPs with a new SAP ecosystem leveraging S/4 Hana.  

This Digital Transformation includes embedding intelligent automation into our core business operations. Initially, this role will be deeply hands-on, focused on pioneering our core automation solutions such as SAP BTP Build Process Automation (BPA) platform. You will be instrumental in establishing the technical foundation and proving the value of this new capability. As the program matures and the team expands, this position is expected to evolve into a team lead role, where you will guide a small team of 3rd party resources to scale our automation footprint across the enterprise 

You will be working as part of a team responsible for the delivery of all Automation and Process Intelligence solutions, from reporting to operational execution apps, for the Digital Core program

Key Responsibilities 

• Act as the primary hands-on developer for our first wave of automation projects, designing, building, and deploying robust solutions using SAP BTP Build Process Automation (BPA) and advanced unstructured document processing solutions (e.g. Unstract) 
• Establish and document development best practices, reusable components, and quality standards that will serve as the foundation for the program automation team in liaison with the enterprise Intelligent Automation Hub team. 
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and process owners to translate business requirements into well-architected and scalable technical solutions. 
• As the program expands, transition to a leadership capacity: mentor and manage a high-performing team of automation developers. 
• oversee the end-to-end automation lifecycle, from design and build to deployment and support, ensuring the team delivers on its commitments 
• Champion technical excellence and continuous improvement, guiding the team in adopting new tools and methodologies to enhance our automation capabilities 
• Ensure all automation solutions remain secure, robust, and compliant with IT standards as the practice scales 

Context and Scope 

The job is part of the Integration, Automation & Process Intelligence team (IAP) within the EOS program. 

 

The IAP team is responsible for engaging with process & DT teams to scope, develop, and launch all Intelligent Automation solutions for EOS. It achieves this through appropriate design and engineering disciplines, engaging & influencing stakeholders and drawing on a strong background/experience in Automation.  

 

The role will work across most areas of EOS, with priorities driven by business stakeholders’ evolving needs. 

 

The role will require strong initial technical skills, demanding excellent communication skills to manage a future team of 3rd party resources and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. 

 

Role involves interaction with external vendors (e.g., SAP, implementation partners) to stay current with platform capabilities and best practices

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

·       Master of Sciences degree or equivalent in engineering field / IT / computer sciences / Management 

·       Certification in SAP BTP Build Process Automation or other leading RPA platforms is highly preferred

•  Experience in IT, hands-on RPA development role. 
• Proven ability to lead projects and a demonstrated ambition to grow into a people leadership position. Previous mentoring or informal leadership experience is a strong plus. 
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including agile methodologies. 
• Strong understanding of business process analysis and solution architecture in the context of automation

• Preferred :  
• In-depth technical expertise with RPA platforms, with strong, hands-on experience in SAP BTP Build Process Automation (BPA) being critical. 
• Experience within SAP S/4HANA or large digital transformation programs

• PowerAutomate & PowerBI 
• Python
