Role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Testing & Certification:

   • Conduct testing of products such as UPS, household appliances, audio/video equipment, IT devices, and photovoltaic inverters, adhering to relevant standards like IS, IEC, and UL.
   • Ensure that all products are tested for safety, functionality, and performance according to industry norms.
   • Identify potential areas for improvement in product design based on testing results.

2. Standards Compliance:

   • Test products for compliance with national and international standards such as:
     • IS 16242 (Part 1)/IEC 62040-1: Uninterruptible power systems (UPS)
     • IS 16169/IEC 62116: Utility-interconnected photovoltaic inverters
     • IS 16221 (Part 1)/IEC 62109-1: Safety of power converters for photovoltaic systems
     • IS 616/IEC 60065: Audio, video, and similar electronic apparatus
     • IS 302-1/IEC 60335-1: Household electrical appliances
   • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the latest standards, codes, and certifications relevant to the product categories.

3. Testing Documentation:

   • Prepare and review detailed test reports, technical documentation, and certification files in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for power supplies, stabilizers, and other related products.
   • Document test procedures, findings, results, and compliance status for internal and client purposes.
   • Ensure that all technical documentation is clear, concise, and accurate.

4. Project Management:

   • Manage and oversee testing projects within the IT/AV/UPS/Home Appliances department.
   • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of projects while maintaining quality standards.
   • Review and prioritize testing schedules, ensuring that client deadlines and product launch timelines are met.

5. Training & Mentoring:

   • Provide technical training to junior engineers and team members.
   • Offer guidance and expertise in product testing and certification processes.
   • Act as a mentor for testing engineers and ensure that all team members are familiar with industry best practices.

6. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:

   • Continuously assess testing methodologies and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
   • Support the development and implementation of new testing processes and strategies.

7. Client Interaction:

   • Liaise with clients to understand their testing and certification requirements.
   • Provide technical support and explain test results and reports to clients as needed.

8. Compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005:

   • Ensure that all testing processes comply with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 requirements, and maintain certification as an NABL authorized signatory for power supplies and stabilizers.

Qualifications:

• Education: B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in product testing, with a focus on UPS, IT, AV, home appliances, and power converters.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of national and international product testing standards.
  • Proficiency in writing technical documentation and test reports.
  • Experience with NABL certification processes and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Hindi.
