Job description

1. Process Engineering & Optimization

  • Develop, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes for inverter assembly, battery assembly, sheet‑metal cabinets, wiring harness & PCB modules.
  • Conduct time & motion studies to reduce cycle time and improve line balancing.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts (5S, Kaizen, Poka‑Yoke, SMED).
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to increase throughput.

2. New Product Industrialization (NPI)

  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production for new product introduction.
  • Prepare assembly documentation including Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, WI/SOP, and tooling requirements.
  • Validate prototypes & pilot batches and ensure smooth scale‑up to mass manufacturing.

3. Quality Improvement & Defect Reduction

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for assembly, wiring, performance, and sheet‑metal defects.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work closely with QA to ensure adherence to ISO & internal quality standards.
  • Maintain process capability indices (Cp/Cpk) for critical stations.

4. Equipment, Tooling & Fixture Management

  • Define requirements for jigs, fixtures, gauges, tightening tools, ESD setups, and test benches.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of tools, assembly lines, and machinery.
  • Support automation initiatives for repetitive or high‑precision operations.

5. Production Support & Line Efficiency

  • Provide technical support to production teams for day‑to‑day issues.
  • Monitor OEE, productivity, manpower utilization & material consumption.
  • Ensure optimal layout, ergonomic workstations & efficient material flow.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain:
    • SOPs & Visual Work Instructions
    • Process standards
    • Checklists and QC parameters
    • ECN/ECR documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental guidelines.

7. Cost Reduction & Improvement Projects

  • Drive initiatives in:
    • Scrap reduction
    • Rework elimination
    • Material wastage reduction
    • Sheet metal optimization
    • Energy saving & process cost optimization
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities for sheet‑metal parts and components to support cost/quality improvements.
