Time Motion Study Engineer

Key Responsibilities

A. Time & Motion Study

• Conduct detailed time studies, motion studies, and work sampling across production lines.
• Develop and maintain standard operating times, manpower norms, and machine utilization benchmarks.
• Identify bottlenecks, process variations, and areas for efficiency improvement.

B. Process Improvement

• Propose improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Line Balancing, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Lead initiatives to reduce process inefficiencies, rework, and idle time.
• Suggest layout modifications for improved material flow and productivity.

C. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare detailed Time Study Reports, Work Instructions, and revised SOPs.
• Maintain Standard Time Data Sheets (STDS) and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Present findings to Production, PPC, Engineering, and Management teams.

D. Capacity & Productivity Planning

• Assist in determining plant capacity, shift planning, and manpower allocation.
• Support new product introduction by creating operation sequences and time estimates.
• Evaluate workstation and line design for optimum output.

E. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Production, PPC, QA, Maintenance, and R&D teams.
• Provide training to supervisors and operators on optimized job methods.
