Job description

A. Manufacturing Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the development and execution of the company-wide Manufacturing Excellence roadmap.
  • Drive Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, TQM, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Establish standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices across all manufacturing units.
  • Identify critical process bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions.

B. Robotics & Automation

  • Evaluate processes for automation feasibility and create an automation masterplan.
  • Lead deployment of robotic systems (pick-and-place robots, AGVs/AMRs, robotic arms, machine tending robots).
  • Oversee automation projects end‑to‑end: concept, design, integration, commissioning, and performance validation.
  • Ensure seamless integration of sensors, PLCs, SCADA, MES, and robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with OEMs, system integrators, and automation vendors.

C. Industry 4.0 & Digital Transformation

  • Implement smart manufacturing technologies: IoT sensors, smart dashboards, predictive maintenance, real-time machine monitoring, etc.
  • Increase data-driven decision making through analytics, OEE dashboards, and digital twins (if applicable).

D. Operational Performance & Productivity

  • Improve OEE, cycle time, manpower productivity, material flow, and throughput.
  • Reduce downtime through structured problem solving (DMAIC, 8D, RCA).
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through method improvements, layout optimisation, and automation.

E. Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Mentor plant teams and build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Train employees on Lean practices, automation basics, and process excellence.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and HR.
