Senior Fire Officer

• Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment: Continuously monitor the plant for high-risk zones, including battery assembly, testing, charging, and storage areas.
• Specialized Emergency Response: Develop and execute protocols for lithium-ion battery thermal runaway, chemical spills, and electrical fires. This includes managing specialized suppression agents and containment methods.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure 24/7 operational readiness of all firefighting and life-safety equipment, such as:
  • Fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, and jockey pumps.
  • Addressable fire alarm and gas detection systems.
  • Dry chemical and Class D fire extinguishers.
• Safety Audits & Compliance: Conduct routine statutory inspections to ensure strict adherence to Indian Explosives Act regulations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and local building codes.
• Staff Training & Drills: Lead "Tool Box" safety trainings, coordinate regular evacuation drills, and educate employees on how to identify warning signs like battery swelling or abnormal heating.
• Permit to Work (PTW) System: Provide fire coverage and issue safety clearances for high-risk activities like hot work (welding, grinding) and heavy machinery use

Education/Qualification

Diploma in Fire Engineering (Regular, NIFS/State Fire Academy/recognized institute); basic first aid certified
