Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric solutions.
- Architect and implement scalable Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and One Lake-based data platforms.
- Design and develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and Spark.
- Drive data modeling, semantic layer creation, and enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, RBAC, workspace management, and compliance.
- Lead technical discussions, solution reviews, estimations, and architecture decisions.
- Mentor data engineers and BI developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure engineering excellence.
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement DevOps/DataOps practices including CI/CD, automated deployments, version control, and release management.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive Fabric migration initiatives from legacy platforms such as Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Informatica, SSIS, or traditional data warehouses.
- Evaluate and adopt new Microsoft Fabric capabilities, AI features, and industry best practices.

Role
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Platform development.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong expertise in:
- Microsoft Fabric
- OneLake & Lakehouse Architecture
- Data Factory Pipelines
- Dataflows Gen2
- Power BI
- Fabric Warehouse
- Real-Time Analytics/KQL
- Spark & Notebooks
- Advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
- Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture, Dimensional Modeling, and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Azure Data Services such as ADLS, Azure SQL, Synapse, Azure DevOps, and Entra ID.
- Proven experience leading technical teams, solution design, and enterprise delivery programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring capabilities.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Exposure to GenAI, Fabric AI capabilities, Copilot, or modern AI-powered analytics solutions is preferred.
