Job description
Engineering Delivery Lead - Gen AI
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: 10-15+ Years
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced leader to drive AI-powered transformation initiatives for global pharmaceutical and life sciences clients. The individual will combine deep Pharma domain expertise with advanced capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Commercial Analytics to solve complex business challenges and create measurable business impact across the drug development and commercialization lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic AI, ML, and GenAI engagements across Commercial Pharma, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Analytics, and Clinical domains.
- Partner with pharmaceutical clients to identify high-value AI use cases and convert business problems into scalable AI solutions.
- Drive the design, development, and deployment of GenAI applications leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, AI Agents, Knowledge Graphs, and Conversational AI.
- Build AI-powered solutions for:
- Sales Force Effectiveness
- Brand and Marketing Analytics
- Market Intelligence
- Patient Journey Analytics
- Oncology and Specialty Care Analytics
- Medical Content Generation
- Literature Review Automation
- Clinical Trial Intelligence
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising Data Scientists, ML Engineers, GenAI Engineers, Domain Consultants, and Product Teams.
- Define AI adoption roadmaps, governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, and model monitoring strategies.
- Manage executive stakeholder relationships and present AI-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Own account growth, delivery excellence, resource planning, and program governance.

- Strong experience in Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Biotech industries.

AI / Machine Learning
- Strong experience delivering predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions.
- Hands-on understanding of:

- Forecasting Models
- Segmentation & Targeting
- Causal Inference
- Experience with Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
Generative AI
- Proven experience building enterprise-grade GenAI solutions.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Large Language Models (GPT, Claude, Llama, Gemini)
- Prompt Engineering
- Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
- AI Agents & Agentic Frameworks
- Vector Databases
- LangChain / LlamaIndex
- Knowledge Graphs
- Fine-Tuning & Model Evaluation
- Experience deploying GenAI solutions on Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or GCP Vertex AI.
Leadership & Consulting
- Experience leading multi-million-dollar client engagements.
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into business value and ROI.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of managing global teams and driving delivery excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree, PhD, MBA, or equivalent advanced qualification.
- Certifications in AI/ML, Cloud, GenAI, or Data Science.
- Experience working in Fortune 500 Pharma or Life Sciences consulting environments.
