We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer in Process Engineering - Fabrication to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication processes and a passion for engineering excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing fabrication processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing operations.

Apqp, PPAP, FMEA,Cycle time study, Cycle Time Reduction, Set up reduction, Machine / Tools trials and establishment
• Experience in APQP – process designing/process planning, interpret product design requirement into manufacturing process design features considering safety, quality, capacity planning, production ramp up etc.,
• Experience in development of equipment defining the technical specification, obtain competitive quotes, technical negotiation, follow up, trials at supplier/plant locations, interact with production and maintenance to hook up utilities, installations and commissioning of equipment.
• Knowledge in fabrication processes such as Thermal cutting, bending, welding, machining.
• Prepare process flow, SOPs, work instructions, and control plans
• Design Inputs to design and implement jigs, fixtures, and welding fixtures for productivity improvement
• Coordinate with design, quality, production, and maintenance teams for smooth Project execution
• Reduce cycle time, Set up time for the Fabrication Process
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and prototype development
• CAPEX Justification Preparation to the Management for approval .
• Automation Introduction for Fabrication and Machining process
• Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke initiatives on shop floor
• Experience in development of fixtures / tooling / gauges required for new projects, conduct production trial run and PPAP runs, establish cycle time/capacity.
• Experience in working closely with CFT (production/quality/maintenance/R&D) during all phases of product development to optimize process design for PQCDSM.
• Estimating investments and process cost for NPD projects.
• Familiar in using Manufacturing Engineering tools/New product development tools including APQP, PPAP, PFD, CP, SPC.
• Process benchmarking and technology road map execution
• Establishing process controls and poka-yokes in process.
• Implementing Industry 4.0 controls and concepts.
• Working knowledge in welding and assembly lines / technologies - planning and execution.
• Working knowledge in Autocad,Soild Works
• Plant layout design and material flow optimization
• Improving existing processes towards PQCDSM
• Implementation experience in lean concepts like Kanban, VSM, JIT etc
• Industrial Engineering concepts like motion study, through put time evaluation, manpower optimization, ergonomics study, MHE facilities, MOST concepts, Takt time, line balancing,
• TPM concepts implementation and working knowledge in Kobetsu Kaizen and Early Development pillars.
