We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CNC Machine Shop Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of CNC machinery in our manufacturing facility, ensuring precision and quality in our products. The CNC Machine Shop Engineer will work closely with the production team to optimize processes and improve efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety & quality and will be reporting to Machine Shop Manager / Production Head.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
• Plan and control CNC machining operations to achieve production targets.
• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes for productivity and quality improvement.
• Prepare and review process sheets, work instructions, and machining parameters.
• Monitor cycle time, tool life, and machine utilization.
• Ensure proper tool selection, fixture setup, and cutting parameters.
• Support new product development NPD through machining feasibility studies.
• Troubleshoot machining operating and other machining issues, tool breakage, dimensional variation, and machine errors.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for machine breakdown and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure precision measurement and inspection practices are followed.
• Maintain CNC programs and documentation control.
Quality & Process Control
• Ensure machining processes meet drawing specifications and tolerance requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and process deviations.
• Implement process improvements (Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Lean Manufacturing).
• Maintain process capability (Cp/Cpk).
TPM / JH Responsibilities
• Support TPM implementation and Jishu Hozen (JH) activities.
• Identify and eliminate abnormalities in machines and workplace.
• Maintain 3S / 5S standards in the machine shop.
Technical Competencies
• Strong knowledge in CNC Milling operations & Programing.
• Experience with Siemens CNC control systems will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of G-code & CNC programming basics.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, tool wear, and machining parameters.
• Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, CMM).
• Knowledge of SPC, process capability, and quality control methods.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine maintenance.
• Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma concepts.

B.Tech / B.E (Mechanical)
