Job Summary:
As a Senior Engineer / Senior Software Developer at Schwing Stetter India, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that enhance the functionality and efficiency of our concrete machinery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and quality assurance teams, to create reliable and scalable software solutions.

Role
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Software Development:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications following best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with product owners and architects to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
2. System Architecture:
- Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable and robust software systems.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure high quality and efficient software development.
3. Code Review and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, and adherence to standards, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Implement testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests, to ensure software reliability and performance.
4. Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical guides.
- Document workflows, processes, and system architecture for better understanding and maintainability.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and other engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Liaison with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback and understand user needs for continuous software improvement.
6. Mentorship and Leadership:
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices, software design, and development methodologies.
- Lead by example, demonstrating high standards in technical ability and professionalism.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate relevant advancements into the software development process.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in existing software solutions and processes.
8. Support and Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues as they arise, ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on operations.
- Provide support for production systems and assist in system upgrades and patches.
