Backend SDE 3

Snapmint is looking for a highly hands-on Senior Backend Engineer (SDE III) who enjoys writing production code while driving the architecture of complex backend systems.

This role is suited for engineers who thrive in solving non-trivial technical challenges, designing scalable systems, and building high-performance services that power a rapidly growing fintech platform.

You will influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and take ownership of critical backend components.

What We’re Looking For:

• 6–10 years of backend development experience
• Strong programming expertise in Node.js (preferred) or another modern backend language
• Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
• Experience building event-driven or asynchronous architectures
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience building systems on cloud infrastructure
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and API design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of performance optimization and scalability patterns
• Experience designing low-latency or high-throughput services
• Prior experience in a high-growth product company
• Contributions to open-source projects are a plus
