Role Title: Manager | Fullstack Java | Hyderabad | Engineering as a Service/ Operate
Location: Bangalore, Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Entity: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP
About the Role
As a Full-Stack Senior Product Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners and engineering teams on the design and implementation of innovative products and features, contributing to the evolution of user-centric advertising at scale. You’ll exercise technical ownership, provide peer mentoring, and ensure our systems are robust, observable, and future-ready.
On a daily basis you should bring:
● A passion for building and owning mission-critical systems. A growth mindset, with a willingness to mentor and learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
● A commitment and desire to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams and systems.
● An understanding of micro-service encapsulation and loose coupling, and why they are important.
● An understanding of how to define technical and operational metrics to measure system health and to manage risk.
● A pragmatic approach to solving engineering challenges at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, build, and support scalable microservices and user interfaces for Disney’s Ad Platform, leveraging Java and modern front-end frameworks.
● Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering peers to deliver features that enhance user-centric advertising.
● Translate user stories into actionable engineering tasks with ownership from development through deployment.
● Mentor and support teammates through code reviews, documentation, and informal guidance (no direct reports).
● Improve system observability by implementing metrics, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
● Participate in on-call rotations as part of our commitment to operational excellence.
● Champion best practices in code quality, automated testing, and agile workflows.
● Understanding and using automated tools (AI) while adhering to company policy
Required Qualifications / Must have:
● 15-18 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
● Proficiency with Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, ORMs, etc..).
● Experience with ReactJS or modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue, Angular), and willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
● Strong background in relational databases (MySQL, Postgres), including schema and query design.
● Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
● Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms.
● Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in ad tech.
● Experience with programmatic advertising or real-time bidding platforms.
● Spring Boot and related Spring projects.
● Cloud platforms such as AWS.
● Modern DevOps tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
● Data Streaming Mechanisms such as Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, and/or SNS/SQS. Required Education
Preferred Qualifications / Good to Have:
● BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
