Your work profile

• Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Security solutions across Workday HCM and related functional modules.
• Analyze business, compliance, and audit requirements and translate them into scalable Workday security designs.
• Design and maintain security frameworks, including role-based security, user-based security groups, domain security policies, and business process security policies.
• Collaborate with functional, technical, and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant Workday configurations.
• Support security assessments, audits, segregation of duties (SoD) reviews, and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex security-related issues while ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Conduct regular security reviews, access audits, and governance activities to ensure ongoing compliance and adherence to security standards.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security for Workday modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, Learning, and Time Tracking.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, role-mapping documents, process flows, and governance artifacts.
• Support Workday release activities by evaluating security impacts and implementing required changes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and security administrators.
• Contribute to successful project delivery while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and quality standards.

Key skills required: 

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Security Administration, implementation, and support.
• Minimum 4-6 years of Workday experience, including 3+ years of dedicated Workday Security experience.
• Ability to independently lead Workday Security workstreams through all phases of implementation and support engagements.

• User-Based Security
• Constrained and Unconstrained Security Groups
• Intersection Security Groups
• Segregation of Duties (SoD)
• Compliance and Audit Controls
• Experience designing and maintaining security models across multiple Workday modules.
• Strong understanding of Workday organizational structures and how they interact with security configurations.
• Experience performing security audits, role reviews, access certifications, and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of Workday security troubleshooting and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Ability to create detailed security design documents, role matrices, governance frameworks, and compliance documentation.
• Experience supporting production incidents, enhancement requests, and post-production support activities.
• Understanding of Workday HCM business processes and security implications across Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent modules.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Understanding of SDLC, IT General Controls (ITGC), audit requirements, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.

Good to have:

Experience with Workday Reporting and security-enabled reporting considerations.

Exposure to Workday Extend, Prism Analytics, and Integration Security.

Experience working with enterprise security governance frameworks.

Preferred:

• Experience collaborating with Solution Architects, Functional Leads, and Audit teams on security design reviews and governance approvals.
• Experience delivering Workday Security solutions within implementation, optimization, or managed services environments.
• Experience leading client workshops, security design sessions, and compliance discussions.
• Proven ability to establish scalable security frameworks supporting global Workday deployments.
• Experience supporting security remediation, audit findings, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Relevant Workday certifications in Security Administration, Core HCM, Reporting, or related Workday modules are highly preferred.
