iOS Development,Core Data,Swift
You'll ship features for millions of users from a modular Swift monorepo that powers iOS App apps in the portfolio. You will own and drive product & technical projects from idea through to delivery and post-production monitoring.
The iOS App app is a mature, entirely-Swift codebase: UIKit-based, MVVM with coordinators and generated dependency injection, our in-house BPObservables reactive layer, and a protobuf-based API talking to iOS App's high-scale backend (with some components on gRPC stack). Chat is built on Chatto, our open-source messaging framework. You'll both build the iOS App product and shape what the modern codebase becomes.
Architecture matters here. The platform's direction is set: new modules are written to the modern standard, so you'll maintain and evolve a production UIKit app while writing new work on the modern stack and helping carry iOS App there.
What you'll do
● Build and ship user-facing features end-to-end across iOS App's feature modules
● Partner closely and collaborate cross-functionally with Backend and Android, QA, Product & Design teams
● Work with a protobuf/gRPC API layer shared with our backend teams - you will own the client side of the contract
● Write new modules to the modern platform standard (SwiftUI) while keeping the existing UIKit/MVVM codebase healthy
● Test at every level: XCTest unit tests, snapshot tests, component/UI testing; extend coverage where it's thin
● Verify your changes end-to-end on supported devices using our test tooling to ensure high-quality standard and delightful member experience for shipped changes
● Run A/B experiments, measure impact, and iterate with product and design
● Adopt AI tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and iteration on new features, enabling faster experimentation with production-ready code
● Participate in code reviews and mentor
● Maintain and evolve the iOS App app (occasionally support other apps from iOS App Inc. portfolio) and contribute to the evolution of iOS App’s codebase
● Contribute to incident management - ensuring 100% of incidents are handled, postmortems written, and actions taken
● Build and maintain monetisation logic like credits-based flows, subscription features
Our stack: Swift (essentially 100% of app code) · UIKit with SwiftUI in newer modules · MVVM + Coordinators, code-generated DI · BPObservables (in-house reactive) with some Combine · MAPI protobuf/gRPC networking · Cosmos design system · Tuist monorepo · XCTest + SnapshotTesting + demo-app component tests
