Production OSD: Coating – Junior Operator

Coating Area Preparation: Assist senior operators in setting up and preparing auto-coater equipment, solution mixing vessels, spray systems, and processing bays prior to production runs.
Coating Solution Preparation Support: Help weigh, transfer, and mix raw materials, polymers, colorants, and solvents under guidance to prepare uniform coating suspensions using high-shear homogenizers.
Tablet Loading & Unloading: Assist in transferring core tablets from IPC bins into coating pans and safely unloading finished coated tablets into intermediate storage containers upon cycle completion.
Spray System Assembly & Cleaning: Help assemble, disassemble, clean, and position spray guns, nozzles, and peristaltic pump tubing used during spray coating operations.
Parameter Monitoring: Observe and assist in recording critical process parameters during runs, such as inlet/outlet air temperatures, bed temperatures, pan speed (RPM), and solution consumption.
In-Process Quality Checks Assistance: Support senior operators during routine in-process checks, including tablet weight gain calculations, drying checks, and basic visual quality inspections.
Line Clearance & Equipment Cleaning: Perform routine washing, solvent/water flushing, and cleaning (Type A/B) of coating pans, ducting, and solution vessels during product changeovers to avoid cross-contamination.
Logbook & Real-Time Recordkeeping: Record operational checks, room environmental readings, and equipment usage in shift logbooks following ALCOA+ data integrity standards.
Housekeeping & 5S Discipline: Maintain strict cleanliness, order, and safety standards across coating processing bays, solution preparation rooms, and wash stations in line with 5S practices.
EHS & Safety Adherence: Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including dust masks, respirators, and chemical-resistant gloves, adhering fully to factory EHS protocols when handling solvents and dust.
