Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in SQL Server administration and Azure SQL environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and managing high availability solutions across both on-premises and Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Monitor database systems and troubleshoot performance and availability issues
- Implement and manage High Availability (HA) solutions, including:
- AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Log Shipping
- Database Mirroring
- Manage backup and restore operations across On-Prem and Azure PaaS environments
- Configure and manage Azure SQL and Azure Blob Storage for backups and restores
- Create and maintain SQL Server Maintenance Jobs, including:
- Index optimization
- Statistics updates
- Database health checks
- Perform SQL Server patching and smoke testing
- Support database deployments through Azure CI/CD pipelines across environments (STG, PROD, DR)
- Maintain documentation related to database architecture and operational processes
- Ensure adherence to database security and performance standards
Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in MSSQL Server Installation and Configuration
- Hands-on experience in SQL Server monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience in High Availability technologies, including:
- AlwaysOn Availability Groups
- Log Shipping
- Database Mirroring
- Experience working with Azure SQL and Azure Blob Storage
- Strong experience in backup and restore strategies
- Experience in SQL Server Maintenance Job creation and management
- Experience in SQL Server patching and smoke testing
- Exposure to Azure CI/CD pipelines for database deployment
Strong understanding of MSSQL Architecture
