Job description
JOB SUMMARY This position is for a Mainframe developer who will be primarily accountable for ensuring a highly available mainframe system in the healthcare systems, preferably in the Payor space (Claims). This results-oriented job requires a solid understanding of mainframe sub-subsystems in a large scale parallel sysplex IBM Enterprise environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitor the health of the CICS/MQ environments and help troubleshoot issues to determine root causes
2. Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment using ISPF/SDSF, COBOL JCL, DB2, CICS and third-party utilities
3. Provide stable and secure mainframe sub-system support
4. Use performance reports/metrics to identify process/availability improvement opportunities
5. Conduct change inspections; determine associated risks and readiness for implementation
6. Available to work a flexible work schedule that would include infrastructure releases
EXPERIENCE Required · Experience in mainframe technology mentioned below: COBOL DB2 Databases CICS SQL JCL VSAM Preferred Teradata Databases MQ Series MQ Visual Edit IBM UrbanCode Deploy TS02 Corporate Code Tables Batch Checkpoint/Restart CATS (Change Automation for Transaction Series) FTP for Batch and Online SPUFI IBM Load/Unload (Utilities) IDCAMS QMF (DB2 Query Management Facility) IMS BMC (Mainframe Middleware Administrator) Hicore / Browse tables in data space IBM VisualAge Interspace. Mandatory Healthcare experience.
