Job description
The ServiceNow Lead Developer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring developers, and ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
Lead architecture, design, and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions.
Define and enforce ServiceNow development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
Guide the team on optimal use of ServiceNow capabilities, including Scoped Applications, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and IntegrationHub.
Team and Project Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers and admins.
Review code, configurations, and workflows to ensure quality and maintainability.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of ServiceNow-related projects.
Solution Design and Delivery
Translate business requirements into technical solutions using ServiceNow s capabilities.
Lead the development of complex workflows, automations, and integrations with third-party systems.
Manage platform upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance.
Governance and Compliance
Ensure solutions follow IT security, compliance, and data governance standards.
Manage access controls, ACLs, and role-based security within the platform.
Agile Delivery and Collaboration
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and process stakeholders.
Prioritize work based on strategic business initiatives and platform roadmap.

Strong hands-on experience implementing and configuring one or more of the following:

HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
Customer Service Management (CSM)

Technical Skills
Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture.
Experience with:
Flow Designer
IntegrationHub
Service Catalog
Service Portal
Employee Center
CMDB
Reporting and Dashboards
Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations.
Understanding of MID Server architecture.
Familiarity with authentication methods such as SSO, SAML, and OAuth.
Process and Consulting Skills
Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
Ability to map and optimize business processes.
Experience leading workshops and stakeholder discussions.
Strong documentation and presentation skills.
Change management and adoption planning experience.
Mandatory Requirements
4+ years of ServiceNow implementation experience.
Experience delivering at least 2–3 full-cycle ServiceNow implementations.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM.
Experience working directly with customers and business stakeholders.
Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
Excellent communication and consulting skills.
Preferred Certifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS – ITSM)
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or ITAM)
ITIL Foundation Certification
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Preferred
