Platform Architect

What we are looking for

We are looking for an excellent problem solver with strong full-stack software engineering and software architecting skills to manage and constantly enhance the 8 different software modules in our power distribution management platform. The candidate will drive the architecture design of new features and modules, build and manage a team of full stack developers, and architect and maintain a high-performance

new features and modules, building and managing a team of full-stack developers, and architecting and maintaining a high-performance and scalable cloud infrastructure that runs our platform. This role will directly work with the CTO.

What You Will Be Doing

• Gathering and converting business requirements from internal and external clients for various software modules of Gram Power’s platform
• Designing the architecture of new modules, features, and its interconnection with other modules in the platform
• Building modules and features of our platform to operate at scale. We design for 20+ million distributed devices being handled on

the platform in parallel

• Ensuring modules are built and maintained to be extensible, easily dockized for on-premise & multi-tenant cloud deployments, and

operate in a microservice architecture

• Architect, monitor, and maintain uptime of our cloud infra on which critical power infrastructure is managed
• Performance monitoring of all APIs and services to ensure high performance of applications
• Keep a close watch on cloud expenses per device and stick to necessary budgets
• Build and manage a high-performance engineering team
• Maintain strong technical documentation

What You Should Have

• Should have 7+ years of experience in full stack development and/or system architecting
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in building and managing a platform
• Proficiency in the following tech stack:
• Javascript, ReactJS, Python, Django
• Strong fundamentals in web standards, browser performance, rendering pipelines, HTTP, and other concepts
• PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB, Firebase DB optimization, Redis
• GIT, AWS
• Flask, Springboot
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols like HTTPS, MQTT, and WebSocket
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD
• Strong experience in building schemas for large-scale data storage and ingestion
• Experience in launching, monitoring, and integrating new services into a complex cloud platform
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work remotely while adhering to deadlines
• Demonstrable experience in building and managing a team of minimum 5-6 people
• Comfortable with task planning, agile methodology of development, and performing in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent skills in communicating with multiple departments in the organization
• Demonstrable skills in architecting and scaling software products on enterprise / cloud infra
