An AI mock interview built from the job and your resume

Five questions, chosen from the job post and the gaps in your resume. You answer each one out loud on camera. ASAI transcribes what you said, scores it against a rubric, and gives you a report you can act on before the real interview.

A strong showing — you would hold your own here.

  1. 93

  3. 67

How it works

From the job post to a scored answer

  1. Questions from this job and your gaps

The example post leads with a move to Kafka and the resume has no Kafka, so question 5 was a Kafka design scenario. Every interview is built the same way, for its own job.

  2. Answer out loud, on video

Check your camera and microphone, then take 30 seconds to think and up to 3 minutes to answer each question. One re-record per question is allowed.

  3. Every answer transcribed and scored

Each answer is scored on the criteria that question tests, checked for situation, task, action and result, and quoted back to you with the evidence highlighted.

  4. A report you can act on

A readiness verdict, strengths and fixes, your pace and filler words per answer, which of the job's key skills your answers proved, a stronger sample answer and extra practice questions.

What the example report found

The candidate scored 93 explaining a technical trade-off to a product manager, and 45 on the Kafka scenario, where the report marked Kafka as not demonstrated and named the exact fix: how to pause consumption for back-pressure and manage offsets during retries. The filler words climbed from 2 on the first answer to 7 on the last. That is the kind of weak spot worth finding in practice.

A spoken interview, not a coding test

Questions come from the job post, so a backend role gets backend questions on design, trade-offs and the team's real work, alongside the behavioural questions every interview has. You practise saying it out loud, which is the part reading alone cannot train.

Watch yourself back

Every answer's video is in the report, next to its transcript and score. Practise the same job again to see your readiness score move, and pick up an unfinished interview where you left it.

Questions people ask

What is a mock interview?
A mock interview is a practice interview: you answer the kind of questions the real one will ask, out loud, and get feedback before it counts. On ASAI the questions come from the job post and your resume, and an AI scores every answer.
How does an AI mock interview work on ASAI?
Pick a job. ASAI chooses five questions from the post and the gaps in your resume. You answer each on camera, with 30 seconds to think and up to 3 minutes to answer. ASAI transcribes and scores every answer and writes a report with your verdict, fixes, pace, filler words and the skills your answers proved.
Can I practise a mock interview based on my resume?
Yes. Every practice interview is built from your resume and one job post together, so it asks about the skills that job wants and probes the ones your resume does not show yet.
Is it for software engineers?
Yes, it is built for tech roles in India. It is a spoken interview, not a coding test: questions cover the role's design work, trade-offs and how you work with a team.
Can I watch my answers back?
Yes. The report includes each answer's video, its transcript with the evidence highlighted, and its score.
