About the Job

We are looking for a Sr. Automation Engineer to join our Enterprise Software R&D team. The role involves designing, developing and executing automated test scenarios to ensure the functionality, reliability, performance and quality of enterprise software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Playwright and JavaScript, along with expertise in test planning, test case design, manual testing and defect management. ETRM domain knowledge is mandatory.

What You'll Do

Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and JavaScript.
Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on product requirements.
Perform functional, regression and integration testing across enterprise applications.
Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality against expected outcomes.
Identify, document, track and verify software defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
Analyze test results and investigate failures to identify root causes.
Maintain and improve automated test suites to increase test coverage and testing efficiency.
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product teams and R&D stakeholders to resolve defects.
Use Jira and Zephyr Scale for test management, execution and defect tracking.
Prepare test reports, quality metrics and relevant testing documentation.
Identify opportunities for improving automation frameworks, test processes and overall product quality.
Investigate customer-reported issues and support production issue resolution.
Ensure testing activities follow defined quality standards and processes.

What We Seek In You

7+ years of experience in Software Testing, QA and Test Automation.
Mandatory experience in the ETRM (Energy Trade and Risk Management) domain.
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript and experience developing automation scripts.
Strong experience in test planning, test case design and manual test execution.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Zephyr Scale.
Strong understanding of functional, regression and integration testing.
Experience with defect tracking, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies and software quality practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in quality inspection, auditing and software testing.
Experience testing enterprise software applications.
Knowledge of API testing and database testing.
Familiarity with QA databases and testing applications.
Experience working with Agile/Scrum development teams.
Exposure to CI/CD and automated testing integration within development pipelines.
Experience investigating customer complaints and production issues.
Strong understanding of automation framework design and test automation best practices.
