About the role

As a Senior Software Developer (Java/Kotlin) - Data Migration, you will build a reliable tool to migrate millions of records from SaaS and PHP-based sources into a Java and MongoDB product. We will count on you to own the solution from design through validation, ensuring complete, accurate, consistent, and business-ready data. Along the way, you will get to:

Build efficient extraction, transformation, loading, and batch-processing mechanisms for large data volumes.

Implement validation and reconciliation controls to identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent records and protect data integrity.

Align data structures and business rules with the target-system team, then validate imported data and application behaviour.

Identify migration risks, improve performance and reliability, use AI code-generation tools, and communicate progress and challenges.

What we’re looking for

6+ years of backend development experience using Java and/or Kotlin, with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.

Experience with SQL, MongoDB, ORM/ODM concepts, and large-volume data processing.

Experience with background jobs and batch processing using Spring Batch or a BPMN engine, including failure recovery.

Knowledge of migration mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, integrity checks, and AI code-generation tools.
