We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Lead to provide full-time, on-site IT support for our Bangalore VLSI design center and its growing team of design engineers. This is a hands-on senior role covering end-user computing (Windows/Mac/Linux), enterprise networking, and server and cloud infrastructure, working as part of the broader Mythic IT function. The role coordinates closely with Mythic HQ IT on standards, security, infrastructure, tools, and support processes, and follows global IT policies and architecture rather than defining separate local processes. The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on senior engineer who can manage local vendor relationships and act as the local resource and liaison for India IT needs.
Site IT Operations & Global Coordination Provide and own day-to-day, on-site IT support for the design center and act as the local point of contact and liaison for IT matters; implement and follow Mythic's global IT policies, asset management processes, and support standards rather than defining separate local processes; coordinate closely with Mythic HQ IT/security teams on standards, security, infrastructure, tools, support processes, audits, and compliance; manage local vendor relationships for hardware, software, networking, and EDA licensing; support and coordinate any additional India-based IT resources as part of the broader Mythic IT function.
End-User Computing Support (Must Have) Maintain and troubleshoot Windows, Mac, and Linux laptops/desktops and peripherals for the local design engineering team; manage the full hardware lifecycle including procurement, imaging, patching, warranty, and asset tracking; ensure minimal downtime through proactive monitoring and rapid issue resolution; standardize OS images, software deployment, and security configurations across all three platforms.
Identity, Endpoint & Security Administration (Must Have) Administer Mythic's global identity and access standards locally, including single sign-on and multi-factor authentication enrollment, group-based access and local approval of access requests; operate unified endpoint management, disk encryption and patch compliance across the local fleet; execute onboarding and offboarding in line with global joiner, mover and leaver processes; produce the evidence required for customer and third-party security assessments.
Networking & Security Configure and maintain networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) in coordination with the global IT team; manage and troubleshoot site-to-site VPN connectivity between our sites; administer firewall rules, access policies, and network security configurations; monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity issues affecting design workflows.
Linux Server, Remote Desktop & Cloud Infrastructure (Must Have) Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers supporting design and compute workloads; own the local remote desktop and virtual workstation experience that the design team depends on, including performance troubleshooting across long-haul links to our other sites; provision and manage cloud computing resources as required by project needs; perform server administration including user management, storage, backups, patching, and performance tuning; support compute farm and job scheduling environments used for EDA workloads where applicable.
Containers & Automation (Must Have): Build, run, and maintain container images and container-based build and CI environments used by local engineering teams; troubleshoot containerized workloads; use scripting and configuration management to automate routine administration rather than performing it by hand.
EDA Tool Support (Good to Have): Assist with installation, configuration, and licensing of EDA tools on Linux servers and workstations; support license server troubleshooting; coordinate with design teams and EDA vendors during upgrades or issues.

8–10 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior/lead capacity
