Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Automation Test Engineer to lead the quality assurance, verification, and automated testing strategies for our infrastructure and cloud deployment pipelines. In this role, your core focus will be architecting and executing robust automated testing suites—primarily utilizing Robot Framework and Python—cloud infrastructures (Huawei Cloud / AWS / OCI), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates. If you are relentless about quality engineering, passionate about CI/CD pipeline test integration, and excel at validating complex infrastructure systems before they reach production, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities: Test Automation Framework Development: Design, build, scale, and maintain extensible automated test suites using the Robot Framework and Python to validate system integrations, network configurations, and infrastructure states. Virtualization & Cloud Verification: Formulate comprehensive test scenarios to validate performance, failover, high availability, and network isolation across public cloud platforms (Huawei Cloud, AWS, OCI). CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Integrate automated test suites directly into deployment pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI), enabling automated quality gates, continuous testing, and immediate feedback loops. Custom Test Scripting & Tooling: Write clean, maintainable Python/Bash scripts to mock services, generate dynamic test data, inspect system health, and parse system/kernel logs for defects. Defect Analysis & Root Cause Identification: Collaborate closely with infrastructure developers and DevOps engineers to triage test failures, perform deep-dive root cause analyses, and track defects through resolution. Team Enablement & Best Practices: Foster a culture of quality within the engineering team by defining test automation standards and leading regular Friday knowledge-sharing sessions on modern QA practices and test strategies. Requirements Should be Able to do – Test Bed Setup & Environment Readiness : Set up, configure, and maintain test beds Huawei Cloud, using Terraform and scripting (Python/Bash) to provision repeatable, version-controlled test environments, including integration with AWS/OCI where required. Test Case Execution & Conversion Execute existing test cases, analyze and refine them, and convert them into structured, automation-ready test cases with clear coverage traceability. Test Case Automation Develop, maintain, and scale automated test suites using Robot Framework (and PyTest where applicable) to validate infrastructure deployments, network configurations, and system integrations. Regression Calendar Execution & Reporting Plan and execute the agreed regression calendar, triage failures, log and track defects, and publish execution results and coverage reports to stakeholders.
