Role Summary

We are looking for a VP – Engineering who is a product builder at heart—someone who has taken a product from 0→1, built the engineering organization around it, and scaled the platform into a robust, multi-tenant product serving multiple enterprise customers.

This role is ideal for a technology leader who has worked closely with customers and Product teams, translated real-world business problems into technology products, and owned the journey from product vision and architecture through development, launch, adoption, and scale.

Experience building products for the US Mortgage, Lending, Banking, or FinTech ecosystem is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & 0→1 Product Development

· Own the engineering and technology vision for building products from the ground up.

· Partner closely with Product, customers, and business leadership to identify problems and translate them into scalable product solutions.

· Take products from concept → architecture → MVP → production → enterprise scale.

· Make pragmatic technology and product decisions balancing customer needs, speed, scalability, and long-term architecture.

· Establish a strong product-engineering culture focused on customer outcomes rather than feature delivery alone.

Multi-Tenant SaaS & Scale

· Architect and scale multi-tenant SaaS platforms supporting multiple enterprise customers with strong isolation, security, configurability, and reliability.

· Design platforms capable of scaling across customers, workloads, data volumes, integrations, and geographies.

· Establish the right balance between shared platform capabilities and customer-specific requirements.

· Build scalable APIs, integrations, data architecture, workflows, and configuration frameworks.

· Drive platform evolution from an initial product architecture to a highly scalable enterprise-grade platform.

Engineering Leadership

· Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization capable of supporting rapid product growth.

· Hire, mentor, and develop engineering leaders, architects, managers, and senior technical talent.

· Establish engineering practices that enable speed, quality, reliability, and predictable delivery.

· Create strong collaboration between Engineering, Product, Design, QA, DevOps, Data, and Business teams.

Technology & Architecture

· Own the technology architecture and technical roadmap for the product portfolio.

· Drive modern cloud-native architecture, APIs, distributed systems, data platforms, DevOps, observability, and security.

· Lead technology modernization and adoption of AI, automation, and data capabilities where they create meaningful product value.

· Ensure the platform is secure, resilient, observable, maintainable, and ready for enterprise scale.

Customer & Business Partnership

· Work directly with enterprise customers and stakeholders to understand their workflows, pain points, and technology requirements.

· Participate in customer discussions, product discovery, solution design, and strategic technology conversations.

· Convert customer feedback into scalable product capabilities rather than one-off solutions.

· Balance customer requirements with the broader product vision and platform strategy.

What We Are Looking For

· 15+ years of software/product engineering experience.

· Significant experience in product companies, preferably B2B SaaS, enterprise platforms, FinTech, or financial technology.

· Proven track record of building a product from scratch and scaling it into production.

· Experience architecting and scaling multi-tenant SaaS / enterprise platforms.

· Experience supporting multiple enterprise customers on a common product/platform.

· Strong understanding of cloud, APIs, distributed systems, databases, security, DevOps, and modern software architecture.

· Experience building and scaling engineering organizations.

· Strong product mindset and ability to work closely with customers and Product leadership.

· Experience working with US-based enterprise customers is preferred.

Domain Experience — Strongly Preferred

Experience in one or more of the following:

· US Mortgage / Mortgage Technology

· Mortgage Origination / LOS

· Mortgage Servicing

· Lending / Credit

· Underwriting / Decisioning

· Banking Technology

· FinTech

· Financial Data Platforms

· Enterprise Financial Services SaaS

A strong understanding of mortgage workflows, financial data, integrations, security, compliance, and enterprise customer environments will be a significant advantage.
