About the role

FIS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, GenAI Platform to help build and evolve FIS Concierge, our enterprise generative artificial intelligence platform. In this role, you will design and deliver scalable backend services while developing advanced AI capabilities including large language model integrations, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and Model Context Protocol integrations. You will work across cloud, data, security, and platform technologies to create reliable, enterprise-grade AI solutions that connect users with knowledge, systems, and business applications.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, application programming interfaces, and microservices using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Build production-ready generative AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation, AI-powered search, prompt orchestration, tool calling, and agent-based workflows.
• Develop agentic solutions and Model Context Protocol integrations that connect AI capabilities with enterprise systems, APIs, and knowledge repositories.
• Implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Contribute to architecture design, code reviews, continuous integration and delivery processes, production support, troubleshooting, and platform optimization.

What you bring

Required qualifications

• 4 to 10 years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience integrating large language models and generative AI platforms, preferably Azure OpenAI or OpenAI, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation architectures.
• Experience building AI agents, tool-calling workflows, multi-step orchestration, and Model Context Protocol client, server, or tool integrations.
• Strong experience On RAG, Agentic AI, MCP, LLM, Vector DB with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, Storage, Azure Kubernetes Service, and NoSQL data technologies.
• Knowledge of enterprise security and modern authentication patterns, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, JSON Web Tokens, Security Assertion Markup Language, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Active Directory, and Okta, along with experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous integration and delivery practices.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, groundedness and relevance assessment, observability tools, or responsible AI controls.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 integrations.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, or OpenAI Agents SDK.
• Experience building enterprise knowledge platforms, AI-powered search solutions, or multi-tenant AI applications.
