Responsibilities:

Play the role of a data engineer generalist and a pipeline centric development, work alongside data scientists to help make use of the data they collect and own the data infrastructure.

• Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures and data pipelines.

• Align architecture with business requirements.

• Ensure 100% on time data acquisition.

• Develop data set processes, data schema improvements or creating new ones.

• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Conduct research for industry and business questions.

• Simplify or configure from scratch new CI CD pipelines that align with your data architecture.

• Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods.

• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.

• Use data to discover tasks that can be automated.

• Deliver updates to stakeholders based on analytics.

Skills:

1. 3+ years working on building, maintaining, and managing ETLs.

2. 4+ years working on SQL and NoSQL DB experience, preferably MongoDB and Hadoop for NoSQL preferred. Strong understanding of HDFS, MapReduce is a must.

3. Should have handled large datasets and pipelines.

4. Strong understanding for cloud data warehousing tools like Snowflake

5. Worked with schedulers like Apache Airflow, Snow Pipe etc.

6. Minimum 3 years working on Apache Spark handling big data, worked in a big data cloud infrastructure.

7. Strong knowledge of working on Kafka topics, KSQLDB. Will be great to have the knowledge of Confluent cloud and their managed Kafka ecosystem.

8. Experience working on AWS Redshift, EKS & data lake.

9. Experience working with Data Scientists, deploying data models and ETL.

10. Has communication, collaboration, and presentation skills?

11. Experience on Hadoop and HBASE is an added value.

12. A sound understanding of HTTP/2 and REST-style web services.

13. Experience or working knowledge of Prometheus, New Relic, Grafana etc.

14. Experience writing Microservices and AWS or Google Cloud is a must - Highly important.

15. Understanding Boto3 or Google API is extremely important.

16. Experience in building and supporting high-performance applications - good work experience with any in-memory caching like Redis.

17. Most importantly has a lot of fun building products, solving problems and being a part of a team.
