Intern - Data & AI

About the Role

You'll work directly on real business problems using data as your primary tool. This is a high-leverage position where you'll get opportunities to work on projects end-to-end—from data pipeline development and exploration to statistical analysis and ML systems. You'll work alongside experienced data professionals and product teams, making decisions that directly impact the business.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain data pipelines powering critical business decisions

• Write SQL and Python to extract insights from complex datasets

• Develop analytical solutions: experimentation, forecasting, diagnostics

• Work on ML systems: understanding model outputs, metrics, and deployment

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into technical solutions

• Debug ambiguous problems with mentorship from experienced data professionals

Skills You Bring

Required:

• Strong SQL: write efficient queries, work with complex schemas, aggregate and join data

• Python scripting: automate tasks, manipulate data (pandas/numpy), write clean code

• Analytical mindset: hypothesis testing, troubleshooting, problem decomposition

• Self-driven: own problems, propose solutions, comfortable with ambiguity

Preferred:

• Foundational data science: understand statistics, model outputs, evaluation metrics, common ML use cases

• ML exposure: coursework, projects, or learning—we care about curiosity, not depth

• AI coding frameworks or harnesses

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
