We are seeking an experienced IAM API Developer responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, supporting, and maintaining Identity and Access Management (IAM) APIs and associated integration platforms. The role involves building secure and scalable REST APIs using the Microsoft technology stack, supporting IAM data synchronization processes, managing Azure-hosted services, maintaining SQL Server databases, troubleshooting integrations, and ensuring high availability of enterprise IAM services. The individual will work closely with Identity Governance, SailPoint ISC, Azure Platform, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable IAM API solution
1. API Development & Enhancement Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET technologies. Develop scalable and secure API services supporting IAM platforms and integrations. Enhance existing APIs based on business requirements and operational needs. Implement API versioning, authentication, authorization, logging, and monitoring. Ensure APIs comply with enterprise architecture, security standards, and coding guidelines. Create reusable frameworks and components to accelerate API development. 2. IAM API Operational Support Provide L2/L3 support for IAM APIs and integration services. Troubleshoot API failures, authentication issues, connectivity problems, and data retrieval errors. Support users and consuming applications by providing guidance on: API endpoints Authentication mechanisms Request/Response structures API documentation Integration best practices Maintain Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), operational procedures, and API support documentation. Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve issues. 3. Identity Security Cloud (ISC) Data Replication Monitoring Monitor replication of IAM data between: SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) Identity Manager (IDM) Assurance Database IAM API Platform Validate successful synchronization of: Identities Accounts Roles Entitlements Governance Groups Access Certifications Analyze Application Insights logs, database transactions, and synchronization reports. Identify and resolve replication failures, delays, and data inconsistencies. Escalate critical integration issues and coordinate remediation activities with appropriate
Azure Platform Support Support APIs hosted on Azure App Services and related Azure components. Monitor Azure service health, platform alerts, availability, and performance. Investigate and resolve Azure Data Sync failures and integration issues. Troubleshoot service disruptions, deployment issues, and infrastructure-related incidents. Restart and recover API services when required to restore service availability. Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities. 5. API Monitoring & Observability Utilize Azure Application Insights and Datadog APM to: Monitor API transactions Analyze performance metrics Detect latency spikes Identify failed requests Track dependency failures Investigate: HTTP 500 errors Timeout issues Slow-performing transactions Database bottlenecks Configure monitoring dashboards, alerts, and operational reporting mechanisms. Ensure proactive monitoring of API health and availability. 6. Database Development & Administration (SQL Server) Develop and optimize SQL Server database objects: Stored Procedures Functions Views Triggers ETL Queries Support IAM-related databases and data synchronization processes. Monitor database health, performance, and availability. Troubleshoot SQL performance issues and optimize queries. Ensure data integrity and consistency across IAM platforms. Support database migrations, schema changes, and release activities. 7. Automation & Scripting Develop automation scripts using: C# PowerShell SQL Azure Automation Automate monitoring, reconciliation, reporting, and operational tasks. Support job scheduling, batch processing, and automated data synchronization. Maintain and enhance operational job scripts used for IAM processing and integrations. Monitor scheduled jobs and troubleshoot execution failures. 8.
API Performance, Scalability & Availability Manage API scalability and performance within Azure environments. Optimize API throughput, response times, and resource utilization. Implement caching, retry mechanisms, and resiliency patterns. Support disaster recovery and high-availability architectures. Monitor capacity and recommend infrastructure scaling strategies. 9. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and execute: Unit Tests Integration Tests API Regression Tests Performance Tests Load Tests Validate API functionality and data integrity. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment verification. Maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD integration. 10. Documentation & Governance Create and maintain: API Specifications Swagger/OpenAPI Documentation Architecture Documents Support Runbooks KB Articles Release Notes Participate in architecture and design reviews. Ensure audit compliance and operational governance requirements are met. Support GSM and ITCM operational processes.
