Sr. Full Stack Developer

About the Role:

Join as a Senior Full Stack Developer at the company, responsible for a regulatory compliance platform that manages product, part, and supplier chemical data across Internal and Supplier Portals. You’ll help evolve a modern web platform that enables compliant product development and supplier collaboration, with strong focus on quality, security, and scalability.

Role expectations:

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

1. Build and enhance web applications using React + Next.js with clean, reusable components and optimized UX.

2. Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (REST APIs, integrations, business workflows).

3. Translate complex regulatory and business workflows into well-designed UI + API solutions (approvals, notifications, dashboards, multi-supplier logic).

4. Own end-to-end delivery: design, implementation, code review, testing, release support, and production troubleshooting.

5. Work closely with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps to refine requirements, shape solutions, and ensure smooth delivery.

6. Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive supplier and compliance data.

7. Improve performance, observability, and maintainability of the system through refactoring and technical improvements.

8. Mentor other engineers and raise engineering standards across the team (quality, testing, code hygiene).

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

Frontend

1. Strong experience building modern web apps with React and Next.js

2. Solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals (ES6+), HTML/CSS

3. Experience with UI libraries (e.g., Material UI or Bootstrap) and responsive design

4. Frontend testing experience (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)

Backend

1. Strong experience with Node.js backend development (REST APIs, middleware, authentication/authorization)

2. Good understanding of microservice-style architecture and API design best practices

3. Experience documenting APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger

Engineering Practices

1. Strong in unit testing, code reviews, and delivering production-quality code

2. Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps ways of working

3. Comfortable with Agile delivery (Jira/Confluence)

Data / Systems

1. Working knowledge of SQL basics and general database concepts (schema, queries, data validation)

2. Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns (RBAC preferred)

Nice-to-Have (Preferred):

1. Experience with AWS and containerization (Docker); OpenShift exposure is a plus

2. Experience with code quality/security tooling (SonarQube, SAST tools like Veracode)

3. Experience with performance testing/monitoring tools (e.g., JMeter-equivalent concepts)

4. Experience working in a regulated domain (healthcare, compliance, audit-heavy environments)

5. Basic Unix/Linux scripting skills
