Objective

To observe, maintain and resolve the maintenance issues of the hospital in time and ensure preventive maintenance of machines and plants.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance

• Continuous supervision of all ongoing maintenance activities
• All plant maintenance like RO, softening system, AC, water treatment etc
• Utility area rounds in the hospital and checking them in depth for maintenance related issues
• Making of quality indicators on the basis of complaints and forwarding them to HOD for approval
• Getting all breakers checked and assuring their certifications
• Maintaining MIS for all AC cleaning, panels checking, generator checking etc from time to time
• Ensuring preventive maintenance of all the plants and machines.

Supervision

• Floor rounds for all maintenance related issues like carpenter, plumbing, electricity
• Taking note of existing problems and getting them resolved at the earliest
• To attend complaints from patients, PRO, officials etc and coordinating with the maintenance team for redressal
• Project supervision related to maintenance and ongoing renovation work
• Analyzing the KWH (Kilo Watt Hour)consumption of power and making comparisons on a daily basis
• Observing and providing ways in which the consumption of power can be optimized

PR Raising

• Raising PR for AMC like AC plant, UPS, RO plant, generator.etc and their timely renewals.
• AMC for fire system like cylinders, pressurized system, smoke detector etc and its renewal
• Raising PR as and when required and continuous follow up until received
• In case of emergency, collecting petty cash from authorized person for completion of certain purposes
• Making material related issues as and when required and issuing bills for the same
• Fulfilling the requirement of the unit related to MEP(mechanical, electrical, plumbing) by raising necessary PR.

Team Related

• Coordinating internally within the engineering department.
• Conducting vendor meeting or visit in the hospital for maintenance of certain stationary machinery.
• Team meeting with the department head discussing about complaints, grooming or behavior of staff, problem resolution etc twice a week
• Checking of all section record books in the department and verifying them
• Taking report from the night shift staff on a daily basis
• Assigning duties to staff before handing over at the end of duty hours
• Managing team and adjusting or diverting manpower as per requirement
