Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Torry Harris. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools needed to support the implementation of our software solutions. You will work closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to manage code releases and coordinate continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines.



Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.

- Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations.

- Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain development, test, and production environments.

- Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure and applications.

- Maintain documentation related to the infrastructure and operations processes.

- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.



Skills and Tools Required:

- Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.).

- Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

- Knowledge of container orchestration tools, preferably Kubernetes or Docker.

- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

- Understanding of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Experience in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

- Automating infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Ensuring security and compliance of cloud environments and applications.



To succeed in this role – you should have the following:

- Proven experience in AWS services, including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, and IAM etc.

- Strong background in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.

- Good understanding of networking concepts and application architecture.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
